Have you ever heard of the Isle of Capri?
Have you ever heard of a 'Surfers Paradise?'
Well if you are looking at this website for the first time, you have found both.
Welcome to Surfers Paradise Primary School on 'The Isle of Capri'.
And that’s our post code as well 'Isle of Capri' 4217.
For those of your who have heard of the historic Isle of Capri off the Amalfi Coast in Italy, that is indeed our name sake. The developers of the day chose Italy to name our precious Island and the streets and landmarks which surround us - Florence Court, Salerno Street, Remo Street, Milan Court and Naples Avenue to name just a few.
Surfers Paradise Primary School on Via Roma with The Corso nearby bordering on the meandering Nerang River, as it winds its way to the Broadwater, stands proudly as it has done since it opened on this special island almost 40 years ago.
Like the Mediterranean jewel 'The Island of Capri' surrounded by the cobalt sea, graced with an intoxicating fragrance of flowers, delicate splashes of colour and a peaceful charm, our wonderful school sits on our own 'Isle of Capri'. The ocean blue with its glistening sands and Q1 the tallest residential building in the southern hemisphere are just a short stroll away. Our school enjoys its own peaceful charm nestled in its very own cocoon of green and vibrant colour.
If you have found us, come join us and help the next generation, your offspring, 'Surf the crest of their own personal wave to success'.
