Surfers Paradise P&C Association
Why are we here? The Main roles of the P&C are: • To encourage and provide opportunities for friendship and networking within the school community. • To facilitate ongoing and constructive communication between the parent body, teaching and administrative staff at the school. • To raise money to provide facilities and resources for the benefit of our children, to enhance their learning opportunities within the school environment. • To provide a the school with, and run the Tuckshop. • To provide and run the uniform shop. The P&C is run by volunteers – your help is much appreciated What has the P&C achieve for the Surfers Paradise Primary School: • Swimming Pool • seating for the pavilion • Shade sails around the school and pool • Garden upgrade (ongoing) • In 2007 - Donated $5000 to Library for the purchase of new books • Donated $10,000 for new computers for school • Collected $9000 from the sale of tickets through the Combined Schools Raffle in 2007 • Collected $4000 from the sale of tickets through the Combined Schools Raffle in 2008 • New Bulletin/ Message Board in undercover area • Run the Mother’s Day and Father’s Day stalls • More to come.............. Can you help? If you are a parent or a carer of the School and you possess particular skills which may benefit the P&C in their fundraising and social endeavours, then please contact the P & C by leaving a message with the School office. Our Tuckshop is manned by volunteers – if you can help out just one day a term, it really helps out and your children will love to see you at school.
